Dr. T. Sivaraman, Ph.D.,

Dr. T Sivaraman is right now working as a Vice-Principal and Dean – Research at SCAS, DSGI. He received his M.Sc., in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University, Trichy in 1994 and his Ph.D., (Subject: Chemistry; Specialization: Structural Biology) from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 1999. After Post-doctoral career at University of Iowa, USA and National University of Singapore, he joined as an Associate Professor in School of Chemical and Biotechnology, SASTRA, Thanjavur and in the recent past, he was working as Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore – 641 021, Tamil Nadu. As of now, he has more than 26 years of research experience in the area of Toxinology, Cancer Biology, Computational Biology and Drug Design. He has published > 86 research articles in reputed international journals (with a cumulative impact factor of > 212; > 1300 citations; h-index: 18; i10-index: 34), 4 books and more than 100 presentations in various scientific events to his credits to date. He has guided research projects at UG/PG/Ph.D., levels in both the science stream and the technology stream. He has successfully completed a few research projects sponsored by funding agencies such as DBT, ICMR & CSIR, New Delhi, India. He is in the Editorial Board and Reviewer of several reputed journals and as well member in many International and National Societies/Organizations.

The SCAS offers specific courses (about 35) in all three levels of higher education to meet the needs of local and global contexts. It is also proud to mention that the SCAS consistently secures several university ranks in many disciplines in every academic year. The SCAS is continuously striving to maintain efficient ‘Student Progression Systems’ facilitating various scholarship and fellowship schemes from government, private sectors, and institutional levels for all eligible students belonging to all the streams. The SCAS also owes its social responsibility on its own and is constantly carrying out many awareness schemes to the people belonging to rural and urban areas surrounding the Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Group of Institutions. The SCAS is on its way to setting a new benchmark in the educational sphere.
